THE COMMON-SENSE CHARTER
Runebound does not police ordinary mature, rude, or controversial language. That freedom ends where targeted harassment, coercion, threats, or harm to another real player begins.
Uncensored does not mean consequence-free. Banter is allowed. Abuse is not.
SPEECH & HARASSMENT
Swearing, adult humor, arguments, trash talk, and unpopular opinions are not violations by themselves. Persistent targeted abuse, credible threats, stalking, doxxing, identity-based intimidation, or sexual attention aimed at someone who does not want it are violations. Continuing across characters, accounts, Discord, or guilds after someone disengages makes the pattern worse.
FAIR PLAY
Do not use cheats, packet manipulation, dupes, destructive exploits, unauthorized automation, or attempts to evade account and reward limits. Report serious exploits privately instead of demonstrating or spreading them. Runebound's own Canopy playerbots and approved modules are sanctioned server features.
PVP, GROUPS & GUILDS
World PvP, competition, guild disputes, tactical deception, and ordinary social friction are part of the game. Repeated conduct whose clear purpose is to stop one person from playing, especially when paired with targeted contact outside the encounter, may become harassment. Do not scam players, impersonate staff, sabotage groups maliciously, or weaponize guild access.
PRIVACY & SECURITY
Do not publish another person's private information, share malicious links or files, phish for credentials, steal accounts, or impersonate another player. Never ask a Keeper for a player's private account details. Protect your own password and report a compromised account promptly.
BOTS & AI CHAT
In-game character bots are prompted not to moralize or refuse merely because language is mature, rude, or controversial. Their generated replies can be imperfect and do not represent a Keeper decision. Bot freedom is never permission to harass a real player. The public Oakkeeper FAQ remains more strictly family-friendly.
REPORTS & ENFORCEMENT
Use ignore or mute tools when they solve an ordinary disagreement. For harassment, threats, privacy violations, scams, or exploits, preserve the relevant names, times, and screenshots and contact a Keeper privately in Discord. Keepers may use a warning, mute, removal of gains, suspension, or ban according to severity and history. Retaliation and knowingly false reports are violations too.
THE GREAT OAK'S BASELINE
Illegal content, credible real-world threats, exploitation of minors, or conduct that puts people or the server at risk can be removed immediately even when no sentence above names the exact tactic. Rules are applied to protect play, not to manufacture gotchas.
